But if go to look for SEO people you will get hardly 1 in 100. This is the present situation in India. Search Engine Optimization has just started off and the booming period is about to come.

The core of any business is Marketing. Without Marketing a business will never succeed. How Google is making money ? By doing marketing right ? So if you want to make your business grow, you need marketing.
There are different kinds of marketing, one of them is ONLINE MARKETING ( i.e. INTERNET MARKETING ) . SEO comes under internet marketing. As marketing is never going to end, same applies to SEO.
